Centers of Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (CEDD)
The University Centers for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities Education, Research, and Service (UCEDD) were created in 1963 to serve people with a wide range of developmental disabilities. The UCEDDs are funded by the Administration on Developmental Disabilities (ADD) within the US Department of Health and Human Services. Currently, there is a total of 67 UCEDD sites in the US, and each is affiliated with a major research university. UCEDD sites serves as a resource for all people in the areas of education, research, and service relative to the needs of people with developmental disabilities.
