A Pal-entine’s Day Challenge

If we go to the mall or the grocery stores, the colors red and pink might be the most seen during the month of February. It’s the month of love! Although romantic love might be the most emphasized, let’s remember that it’s not the only kind of love that needs celebrating. In fact, the love we’re talking about in this article can often go underappreciated simply because of how common it is.

We’re talking about the love of friendship. It’s not Valentines, it’s Pal-entine’s!

It’s a common love that’s far from ordinary. The love we share with our friends can be a fundamental piece of our day-to-day life. These bonds are easy to take for granted because they’re all around us. Whether it’s your best friends, classmates, a sports team member, you name it, these individuals add to the color and vibrancy of your life. They’re the people you laugh with and create memories with, and often times the people you share the most time with outside of your family. So let’s not think of February as just Valentine’s month, let’s use it to lift up our friends and give them some extra love.

Did you know? 👀

You might not know this, but a few days after Valentine’s is a special day that lends itself perfectly to the spirit of friendship.
Random Acts of Kindness Day!

This day falls on February 17th of every year, and it does exactly what it sounds like — it celebrates the spirit of paying it forward and spreading love by doing random acts of kindness throughout the day to your friends and, of course, total strangers who could be new friends!

We thought it would be fun to kick things up a notch and celebrate Random Acts of Kindness with a 14-day challenge this February (14 because…it’s Pal-entine’s!).

But you can start this challenge any day of this month, and better yet, keep on doing this challenge more than once a year.

If you want to share how your challenge went, post a picture on Instagram of a random act of kindness you did and tag @mygoodbrain so we can reshare your post with our community.
