Virtual Art Auction - Success!

Wow! We are so humbled and overjoyed by the amount of people who were able to help us raise funds to start our arts nonprofit organization. Thank you for your generous time and donation during the virtual art auction!

For those who were unable to attend, a brief recap: I (Danessa) decided to auction off some of my personal artworks to benefit My Good Brain. 100% of the proceeds from this virtual art auction will go towards our first campaign project, the My Good Brain Tool Kit. We want to provide these Tool Kits to the most vulnerable, at-risk students in the elementary school level and help them develop more healthy coping skills to promote mental wellness. The long-term mental health effects of the COVID-19 pandemic is yet to be determined, and we believe that we must act now and address children’s mental health in a proactive manner.

Through the use of play and arts-based activities, we can teach children important topics related to self-help and development, such as mindfulness, resilience, empathy, and more. In addition, since the activities are engaging, fun, and easy to do, we hope that this will show them that these healthy coping skills can be done at any time and in a natural manner.

At this time, we are getting ready to assemble the Tool Kits, finish recording the instructional self-help videos, and creating the manual booklets that accompany each box. We are also waiting to hear back from schools we have reached out to. Stay tuned for additional updates each week!
