Sports and Mental Health

Right now, Olympics 2020 are being held in Tokyo, Japan. Olympic games are multi-sport competitions where players come from all around the world and represent their country. Did you know there are more than 200 countries (try naming them!) which participate in over 400 different sports events? Imagine so much to play and have fun!

Creating time for playing sports is in fact one of the best things you can do for the health of children. Sports not only improves stamina and physical strength; it also protects you from challenges to mental health. Children may not always be aware about their emotions but may show symptoms of constant distress, fear and even disruptive behavior. They also start changing their way of learning and show disinterest in interacting with peers.

Engaging in sports gives you many superpowers. Start with only 30 minutes at least three times a week to see the positive changes for yourself!

Check out our infographic to see how sports help your mental well-being. Do tell us about your favorite sports and why you like them on our Facebook page or leave a comment on our Instagram page.
